You can pay by the following methods. Your payments must be received by the due dates on your bill to avoid recovery action starting.
You will need your Council Tax customer reference number, your bank's sort code and your bank account number.
We will send you a new bill when the Direct Debit has been set up so please continue to make your payments as usual until then.
If you are on a Coventry City Council internal network, please use the internal link to sign up.
We accept all major credit/debit cards except for American Express and Diners cards. You can make a payment by using our 24 hour Secure Internet Payment Site.
If you have a problem please call the Council Tax number at the bottom of the page to make a payment.
You will need to set this up with your bank. Make your payment to Coventry City Council quoting your council tax reference number and these details:

Account Number: 02200015
Telephone 024 7678 7778. You will need your Council Tax customer reference number. If you do not have this, then please contact the Council Tax team.
If you have a bank or Post Office account, you can pay at your local branch (except HSBC and Yorkshire Bank). Take your Council Tax bill, debit payment card and quote your Council Tax customer reference number.
