No!
It doesn’t matter what standard your maths is, we can help! We accommodate anything from absolute beginners up to GCSE level in our Functional Skills classes.
There are no formal entry requirements, but your English needs to be good enough that you can understand what is being said in class and can read the exam paper. We recommend that you should have English at Entry Level 3 or above.
Yes.
We offer 5 levels of Functional Skills maths qualifications.
The least difficult is Entry Level 1, which is aimed at people with no maths at all.
The most challenging is Level 2, which is classed as equivalent to a GCSE Grade 4 (what used to be a Grade C).
To make sure we get you signed up to the right class, we need to meet you for an assessment. At the assessment we will answer any questions you might have, find out what level of maths you are starting from and then find a class that meets your needs.
To arrange an assessment or if you have a question:
You will need to prove your identity and eligibility criteria. To do this we need to see some ID.
We will also need your National Insurance Number.
We also offer GCSE maths courses.
