What is the SELT?

You must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) to apply for visa extensions, Indefinite Leave to Remain and British Citizenship.

A1 SELT test for Further Leave to Remain

A2 SELT test for Further Leave to Remain after 2.5 years in the UK

B1 SELT test for Indefinite Leave to Remain (to settle) or British Citizenship

Course Details

Before starting any preparation course you will attend a short interview to assess your current spoken language level.  This will help us to determine if you are at a suitable level for the course on which you want to enrol.  If you are not at the required level you will be referred to one of our ESOL courses to help you improve.

Please note: you will have to sit the test at an approved SELT test centre. View a list of approved SELT test centres in the UK.
