Checking yourself

It is important that we are all aware of our own health and wellbeing and use reliable sources of information - like NHS Choices - to check for signs of illness or injury.

If you are concerned about your health, there are lots of services available to help with a variety of illnesses and injuries including pharmacies, GP practices, out-of-hours services, NHS 111 and walk-in centres.

The Coventry and Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group provides a range of health services and can advise which service can help if you’re concerned about your health or if you need to register with a GP.

Macmillan Library Information Service is a useful place to find out more about Cancer. Macmillan Library Information Points are available in Foleshill, Willenhall, Bell Green, Tile Hill and Central Library.

If you are concerned about a growth or swelling on your body or any other body change, contact your GP. They can examine it and confirm what it is and what's causing it.
