Registering to vote

Nominate your friends to register to vote so you can all have a say and be heard.

Elections are happening in May 2016 and there re still lots of young people who aren't registered to vote. If you're not registered, you can't vote, and the views of an entire generation may be ignored. Not cool.

Voting really is a great way to change the world around you. Sure, you can have a say what's on your mind by updating your status, but it just doesn't have the power that your vote does. So let's round up the stragglers.

It's simple. Firstly, register to vote online at gov.uk/register-to-vote, post a photo of your voter cross (get creative and make it out of anything you like!) and share it with the hashtag #RegAFriend with a message similar to this:

Facebook

I'm registered to vote and ready to have my say. Now it's your turn [tag your mates here]. Register today: gov.uk/register-to-vote. Post your vote cross photo and nominate your friends to register next. Together our voice will be heard. #RegAFriend

Twitter

I'm registered. It's your turn [tag your mates here]. Register today: gov.uk/register-to-vote. Post your cross photo, nominate #RegAFriend

Nominate as many friends as you like because together we're stronger. Getting your friends to register to vote means power to more young people.
