Coventry's private rented accommodation scheme

Access to private rented accommodation scheme

The Access to Private Rented Properties (APRP) scheme helps homeless people and families looking for homes in the private sector. People can be put on the scheme by the Housing Options Team as part of a Homeless application.

If clients are eligible for an element of Housing Benefit they will assist you in applying for a Discretionary Housing Benefit (DHP) payment to secure a bond for the tenancy.

Any Landlord or Tenants on the APRP Scheme will be supported whilst in the tenancy as part of our aftercare service and the support provided includes advising landlords on changes in the law, helping with paperwork and helping to solve disputes between landlord and tenant.
