Small arts grants

The 2012/13 round of Small Arts Grants is now open. Please download the existing application forms for your submissions.

Voluntary groups, community organisations and individuals across Coventry are now invited to apply for funding. Up to £1,000 is currently available for arts projects.

Deadlines for 2012/13 are

• Friday 6 April 2012 12pm
• Friday 1 June 2012 12pm
• Friday 3 August 2012 12pm
• Friday 5 October 2012 12pm
• Friday 30 November 2012 12pm
• Friday 1February 2013 12pm

Please contact us after you have read through the application guidelines and form with a clear summary of your project and any questions or requests to arts.development@coventry.gov.uk.

Who is eligible?

The scheme is open to not-for-profit organisations, schools, local community groups, clubs and individuals
Applicants must demonstrate they fulfil the following conditions, working both towards the success of the project and to good practice.

• The applying organisation or individual must have a bank account or be able to set one up within two weeks of grant acceptance. (If you are unable to do this, we reserve the right to withdraw the offer of grant.)
• The project applied for must take place within the same financial year in which the funds will be received.
• The project must meet at least one of the priorities outlined below.
• Applicants must be based in the city, or the project in question will have a demonstrable impact upon the city and its people.
• Organisations must have an equal opportunities policy. New groups must provide evidence of working towards this.
• The applicant must show that there is an identified need for the project.
• Where applicable, membership of an organisation applying for funding must be open to all at a reasonable cost.
• The applicant must show that all possible costs have been considered and will be met, including appropriate licences and insurances, management and documentation costs.
