Connecting Communities consultation meetings continue in the New Year

Another series of consultation meetings will take place early in the New Year on the Council’s Connecting Communities proposals.

The Council has less money than before to spend on services so we are having to make difficult choices.

The proposals have been made to help save £1.2m in 2016/17. The Connecting Communities programme aims to work with communities to help provide support to people in their local area and to see how communities can get involved in running services themselves.

The consultation period lasts until 1 Feb 2016 and will include meetings on all of the proposals as well as some on specific parts of the proposals.

The meetings on the week beginning 4 January are:
