Edgwick Park clean up and Big Lunch

Published Thursday, 09 June 2016

Foleshill residents are being invited to a Big Lunch and community clean up at a city park.

Organised by Friends of Foleshill, the event on Sunday (12 June) at Edgwick Park will involve a clean-up of the park followed, at 1pm, by a community picnic.

You can meet local residents and community groups who are interested in making Foleshill a better place to live and work.

Cllr Balvinder Kaur, a local ward councillor for Foleshill, has been actively supporting the Friends of Foleshill. The friends group is part of a Coventry initiative ‘Empowered Citizens – Networked communities’.

Cllr Kaur said: “We are hoping that people can come along. This is a chance for people to come up with other suggestions for bringing communities together in Foleshill.

“People should bring their picnic, blanket and friends. It should be a great day.”

For further information, call ext 1067. The event is supported by Unpaid Workers and Langar Aid.
