After much speculation, Godiva Festival has revealed its Saturday Main Stage headliner as Example & DJ Wire.
The musical duo will take to Godiva Festival’s Saturday Main Stage, performing a live music set for the crowd.
Example, a singer/songwriter and rapper, has five albums under his belt, which have all charted as Top 20 Albums in the UK Charts. His 2011 album, ‘Playing In The Shadows’, became a #1 album. His sixth album will see a return to the rapping over huge electronic club bangers which earned him millions of fans from across the globe, including two #1 hit singles in the UK alone with 'Changed the Way You Kiss Me’ and ‘Stay Awake’.
DJ Wire is a North London DJ, who has collaborated with Chase & Status and remixed tracks with many household names such as Kids in Glass Houses, Liquid and Ellie Goulding. He produced several tracks for Example’s ‘Won’t Go Quietly’ album and since 2011, DJ Wire and Example have performed at clubs and festivals the world over.
Lee House, Events Manager at Coventry City Council, said: “There’s been lots of excitement and speculation around Godiva Festival’s Saturday headliner, and so we’re really pleased to be able to actually confirm it.
“With all three main headliners confirmed now, we’re hard at work to programme in the rest of the festival, and we have some really exciting names still to be announced, so watch this space!”
Godiva Festival will take place on 7-9 July at Coventry’s War Memorial Park, with The Stranglers, The Darkness and Tom Clarke all confirmed over the weekend.
