Godiva Festival has confirmed that British rockers Mallory Knox will headline its Friday night Rock Tent.
The five-piece band from Cambridge has played Godiva Festival before in 2013 on Saturday’s Main Stage, but now are returning four years later as a headline act.
The band has just released its new album, titled Wired, three weeks ago, with their two previous albums, Signals and Asymmetry reaching #33 and #16 in the UK Album Chart respectively. Wired charted at #18 in the UK Album Chart.
The band is currently embarking on a headlining tour of the UK, stopping off at Godiva Festival during their jam-packed summer.
Mikey, the lead singer of Mallory Knox, said: “Last time we played Godiva we had one of the best shows we played all year, this time round we're expecting no different. Can't wait to get back and play again!”
With the headlining act confirmed, event organisers are hard at work to programme the rest of the evening.
Lee House, Events Manager at Coventry City Council, said: “Last year, we had Neck Deep headlining the Rock Tent who went down incredibly well, and we had such a good reaction to Mallory Knox back in 2013 that when they asked to come back to play in the Rock Tent, we knew they were a great choice!”
The Festival, now in its 19th year, will also see The Stranglers, Example & DJ Wire, and The Darkness appearing on the Main Stage, with Tom Clarke in the Rhythm Tent.
