Manchester attack - Joint statement from the Lord Mayor, Council Leader, Deputy Leader and the Leader of the Conservative group.

Manchester attack - Joint statement from the Lord Mayor of the City of Coventry, Cllr Tony Skipper, the Council Leader, Cllr George Duggins, the Deputy Leader, Cllr Abdul Khan, and the Leader of the Conservative Group, Cllr Gary Ridley:

"Our thoughts, and those of the city, are with the victims and their loved ones following the terrible events in Manchester. This was a brutal attack on innocent people and our thanks go to the emergency services who responded so bravely and selflessly to help those affected.

"It is impossible to imagine the grief and pain being felt by those caught up in last night's attack and by the people in the City of Manchester. We need to be vigilant as a city and offer our shared support to the people of Manchester."

A book of condolence is in the main Coventry City Council House reception for anyone who wishes to write their messages of sympathy.
