Coventry Godiva Festival confirms more of its line up

Coventry Godiva Festival has announced more of its 2017 line up.

Pulled Apart By Horses

Rock band, Pulled Apart by Horses, will join Rock Tent headliner, Mallory Knox in Friday’s Rock Tent along with Army of Skanks and two Godiva Calling winners, while the Main Stage will see local band, The Institutes open the festival, followed by Tom Williams, Cast and The Stranglers.

Elvis Dies Tomorrow, Autopilot, Blackwaters and Voodoo Kings will all join Saturday’s Main Stage line up, along with Loz Pettite, Future Fires, What’s Left, Lucy Rose, The Amazons, Carl Barât & The Jackals, with Example & DJ Wire headlining.

Over in Saturday’s Rhythm Tent, the day will start with rap/grime with Leon Ashton, Freezacrowd, Skatta, Romzy, Karen Harding, Not3s, Kojo Funds before finishing up with AJ Tracey as headliner, before the tent settles down with Kellimarie joining The Retrobaits, Panjabi MC, Alabama 3 Acoustic and Tom Clarke performing an acoustic celebration of “We’ll Live and Die In These Towns” as a further headliner.

Finally, Sunday’s Main Stage will see Electric Pyramid, Louise Distras and Joe O’Donnell’s Shkayla join the line up, with Callum McKissock, Badfinger, Lucy Spraggan, Kate Nash, and finally, The Darkness, closing the festival on Sunday evening.

Lee House, the Council’s Events Co-ordinator and Festival Director, said: “We’re really pleased to reveal more of our line up, but rest assured, there’s still lots to come! While we know people love the music at Godiva, there’s more to Godiva than just music, so watch this space for more news from the Family Field, the comedy line up, exciting cultural attractions and of course, Sunday’s Rhythm Tent too!”
