Young people and organisations take part in 11 Million Takeover Day Challenge

Published Friday, 24 November 2017

Young people in Coventry are taking part in the national 11 Million Day Takeover Challenge today (24 November).

Takeover challenge

The day encourages organisations to welcome children and young people to take over their roles, celebrating young people and giving them an insight into decision-making. Although the event is a national day, in Coventry, we believe that children and young people should be celebrated and involved in all decisions that impact them.

The day was launched ten years ago in 2007 by the Children’s Commissioner’s Office – making this year its 10th anniversary.

You can read about some of the things taking place for 11 Million Takeover Day on the Council website, with Grapevine, Voices of Care Council, West Coventry Academy and Coventry Youth Council. www.coventry.gov.uk/11milliontakeoverday
