Discounted travel passes for jobseekers

Network West Midlands are giving jobseekers a helping hand with their travel costs by offering a 50% discount off bus, train and tram passes for the first 3 months of new jobs.

Workwise travel support can help eligible jobseekers and apprentices save up to £163.50 on travel costs for up to three months when they start a new job.

Applicants have to meet basic eligibility criteria to be accepted onto the scheme including:

  1. They need to live in the West Midlands area, or be registered at a Jobcentre within the area.
  2. They need to be currently unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week and going into employment, working 16 or more hours a week.
