ICT and Digital Services hosted a packed conference before half term to make sure schools in the city are getting the most out of their systems.
The day was aimed at sharing new developments in the SIMS schools management information system and other ICT systems such as the safeguarding system Impero used in Coventry Schools.
It was decided to hold the event as systems in schools are underused and there is a lot of functionality which can improve teaching, learning and administration which can go unused just because people don't know it’s there.
The event was attended by 80 people from schools from right across Coventry, Including primaries, secondaries, special and both maintained and academy schools. It was held in One Friargate and presentations were delivered by ICT and Digital Staff, Capita SIMS Staff and Impero Safeguarding.
Feedback from the day was incredibly positive, with overall delegates scoring the day at 4.4 out of 5.
One delegate commented: "This was a really useful day and has helped with strategic planning and ideas to move our school forward." Another said: "A well structured day with interesting information."
Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedule to attend.
