Libraries to host free baby shower events

Published Thursday, 05 April 2018

Expectant parents are invited to two free celebratory events at Central and Aldermoor Libraries.

The ‘baby shower’ events will feature activities including reading and singing to your bump and baby and lots of information from different organisations.

Every family attending will receive a free goody bag to take home and refreshments will be provided.

Marie Shipley, Children and Young People’s Co-ordinator, said:  ‘We have recently secured a small amount of funding to deliver baby shower celebrations at libraries to give expectant parents an opportunity to come together in our venues and enjoy some time celebrating their soon to arrive bundles of joy.  This will be a nice memorable time, particularly for new and first time parents-to-be and there are lots of activities to get involved with.’

The free events take place at Central Library in Smithford Way on Thursday 19th April from 12-2pm  and Aldermoor Library in Acorn Street, CV3 1DP  on Friday 20th April from 1-3pm.

Please contact the libraries directly for more information  (Central 024 7683 2314 and Aldermoor 024 7678 8438)
