Organisers have confirmed that very special guest, Gabrielle, will be joining the Godiva Festival line up this year.
The multi-platinum selling, BRIT Award winning singer, will perform on Saturday’s Main Stage.
Gabrielle has topped the charts a number of times. Her debut single ‘Dreams’ broke records, and her later albums and singles followed in the same footsteps, with ‘Rise’, ‘Sunshine’, ‘Out of Reach’, ‘If You Ever’ and ‘Give Me A Little More Time’ being just a few of her hits, not to mention that three of her albums have achieved multi-platinum status.
The Godiva announcement has come just as Gabrielle has released a new single, ‘Show Me’, the first from her brand new studio album, which will be her first album in 11 years. ‘Under My Skin’ is set for release on 17 August, meaning Godiva Festival-goers will be among the first to hear new material performed live on stage.
Gabrielle said: ‘I’m really excited to be performing at Godiva Festival, I know it will be a fabulous day and I can’t wait to perform new songs as well as all the classics, let’s hope ‘Sunshine’ brings the sunshine out’
Gabrielle was previously scheduled to appear as Ronan Keating’s very special guest at his performance at the Ricoh Arena at Easter. However, with Ronan Keating’s performance moving to a headline slot at this year’s Godiva Festival to ensure the maximum amount of people could enjoy the performance, talks began to secure Gabrielle’s slot at the Godiva Festival too.
Godiva Festival organisers are pleased to be able to bring Gabrielle to Godiva Festival’s stage as Lee House, Events Manager at Coventry City Council, said: “We’re really excited to have Gabrielle scheduled for Godiva Festival. We know how excited Gabrielle is to perform her new material and we’re really looking forward to hearing it as well.”
Gabrielle’s new single, ‘Show Me’ is available to download now on iTunes, and ‘Under My Skin’ can be pre-ordered at https://gabrielle.lnk.to/UnderMySkinTW
