Coventry libraries are having a membership campaign – and need your help

Published Tuesday, 08 May 2018

The city’s libraries offer a fantastic service and they are hoping to reach even more people.

They have now launched a membership campaign, with the aim of helping as many as people as possible to see what their library can offer, sign up and make the most of all the services available.

And they are calling on Council staff for their support.

Here are five ways you can support the campaign:

1) Display a poster at your venue

You can help to attract new library members and show your support for our Library Service simply by displaying a poster in your venue or staff area – just ask the team for one.

2) Through Social Media

You can support it by tweeting about why you value Coventry Libraries. Use the hashtag #JoinUs or #LoveOurLibraries and don't forget to tag @covlibraries

3) Through Your Newsletter

If your organisation has a regular newsletter you can support the membership campaign by including an item encouraging people to join their library. Please ask the team for wording.

4) Invite library staff to visit your office to sign up new members

Arrange for a Coventry Library representative to visit your business and sign up you and your colleagues to join the library there and then.

5) Host a deposit collection

Library staff can arrange to supply collections of books for people to access at your site. The books are exchanged every three or six months depending on your preference and you can let them know the number and types of books you would like.

The Library Service does so much to support people in our city, including offering:

  • free unlimited Wi-fi
  • free computer access
  • free access to quality adults and children's reading material
  • free events and activities to get involved with
  • free access to reliable health information and much more
