Domestic abuse and sexual violence survey

Published Wednesday, 30 May 2018

The Public Health Team wants to hear what you have to say about our domestic abuse and sexual violence and abuse services.

The Council is committed to delivering effective support for people experiencing domestic abuse whilst ensuring best use of resources.

Current domestic abuse services have been operating since 2014 and as current contracts approach their end, we are looking for your help to help us understand how well services currently operate and what improvements are most important.

The services currently commissioned by the Council are:

  • Community-based support for victims – delivered by Refuge
  • Emergency accommodation for victims – delivered by Safe and Supported Partnership
  • Children and young people’s service – delivered by Barnado’s. The service is also known as Defuze.
  • A perpetrator service – delivered by Fry Accord. The service delivers a programme called Brighter Futures.
  • Sexual violence counselling service – delivered by Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (CRASAC)
  • We are seeking views from service users and other stakeholders to understand:
  • How, or if, current services meet the needs of service users and stakeholders
  • What improvements are important

Please could you take 5-10 minutes to complete a short questionnaire before this consultation closes on 22 June.
