Coventry City Council is holding an information and wellbeing event as part of Carers Week.
Carers Week is taking place between June 11 and 17 with a call for us all to think about the invaluable role that the 6.5 million carers make in the UK.
It is also an opportunity to help recognise that those who are caring may not recognise themselves as a carer or have been caring for a long time and could do with some support.
Cllr Faye Abbott, Cabinet Member for Adult Services, said: “This year’s Carers Week is all about ensuring that the carers of Coventry are getting the chance to look after their own health and keeping connected with the things that are important to them, whether that’s friends and family or the local community.”
The Carers Information and Wellbeing Event takes place on Wednesday 13 June 2018 from 11am to 2pm at Coventry Central Hall, Warwick Lane.
It will be an opportunity to find out more about the different agencies that support carers in Coventry and find out more around how to keep healthy in Coventry today. There will be a range of agencies represented:
This is a drop in event open to families, carers, professionals and anyone wanting to find out more about services out there. So come along, have a cup of tea and find out more about what Coventry has to offer.
