EMAS welcomes new colleagues

Published Wednesday, 05 September 2018

Coventry's EMAS welcomes two new colleagues to its team. Leanne Cameron and Kirsty Holden have started working for our service this month.

Leanne will be a familiar name to some staff in our secondary schools as she worked for EMAS (formerly MGSS) several years ago. After being seconded as an EAL Coordinator, Leanne has returned to EMAS to support secondary students learning EAL and the staff who teach them. With a background in MFL and plenty of experience working with vulnerable, newly arrived pupils at Key Stages 3 and 4, Leanne will be an asset to our team.

Kirsty Holden has a wide range of experience working for neighbouring Sandwell council both as an EAL advisory teacher, delivering the Primary National Strategy's Bilingual Programme, and as a primary school Head Teacher. Kirsty brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise with her that will help to raise standards of achievement amongst the city's Primary and EYFS settings.

Welcome to you both.
