Murder in Central library – it's a mystery!
Wednesday 25 January 2012
A free murder mystery event will be held in Central Library on 4 February to celebrate National Libraries day.
The free event will test your detective skills and has the theme of 'Dead on Arrival' and will start at 6pm and finish around 8pm. The evening is ticketed and open to over 14s (if accompanied by an adult) and tickets can be obtained from Central Library, (024) 7683 2703/2314 or emailing lesley.martin@coventry.gov.uk.
The Murder Mystery event is one of several free events held in libraries across the city on 4 February to highlight that libraries are no longer the 'deathly silent' places that people once knew them to be, but fun and open to people of all ages.
Councillor Lynnette Kelly, Cabinet Member for Education and Libraries, said: "These free events are a great way for people to see what different things libraries have to offer and to promote the culture of reading for pleasure, whether you read traditional books or choose your laptop or e-reader. I'd encourage everyone to pop along to their local library for the sessions as they are all free and there is something for everyone"
