Programme planned to mark National Libraries Day

Special events are being held across Coventry to mark National Libraries Day next month.
The national event, on Saturday 4 February, highlights what people can do in their local library and celebrate the whole culture of reading for pleasure.
Events to be held in Coventry include a murder mystery evening called Dead on Arrival at the Central Library between 6pm and 8pm. For free tickets or more details contact 024 7683 2314.
Coventry authors Ann Evans and Rosalie Warren will be leading session on how to write at Bell Green and Tile Hill libraries.
The Bell Green event will start at 11am and Tile Hill at 1.30pm where tips of the trade will be given as well as advice on how to create characters and getting published. Places are limited so it is best to book a place on the free events.
Poet Chris Tutton will be performing his poems for an hour at Coundon Library at 12 noon and Jubilee Library from 2.30pm.
Local storytellers Pru Poretta, Kusumika Chatterjee and drummer Jah-Man Aggrey will be entertaining people of all ages at Stoke and Foleshill libraries. Their hour long sessions will ne held at Stoke Library from 11am and Foleshill from 2pm
Councillor Lynnette Kelly, Coventry City Council's Cabinet Member for Libraries and Adult Education, believes National Libraries Day provides a unique opportunity.
She said "Whether or not you are a regular user of Coventry's libraries, joining in the with us celebrating National Libraries Day is an excellent opportunity to go along to your local library and take advantage of the excellent services which are on offer."
