Access to apprenticeships

Monday 16 April 2012

Coventry City Council is offering places on a course designed to help young people develop the necessary skills to begin their journey into the world of work.

The Entry to Employment Team is delivering a three week Access to Apprenticeships course, where young people will undertake training and development in a variety of employability skills. The course starts on 14 May and is for young people between the ages of 16 and 24.

Veronica Nisbett, Employment and Inclusion Manager, said: This is a great opportunity to help young people in the city to have an insight into what is expected of them in terms of developing a work ethic prior to applying for an apprenticeship.

"There is lot of competition for our apprenticeships and this programme will enable participants to excel with their career choices."
