Farmers' Market in Broadgate

Monday 11 June 2012

Broadgate will be host to a Farmers' Market on Friday 15 June, from 9am – 3pm, which will feature all home-grown products at affordable prices.

The authentic and genuine Farmers' Market is FARMA accredited, with all food locally sourced, and you can even taste the food before you buy.

Cllr Lynnette Kelly, Cabinet Member for City Development, said: "This is great news for people who like to buy home-grown local produce. The variety of stalls means that there is something to cater for everyone's taste."

A large range of produce will be available including: honey, shrubs and plants, organic vegetables, strawberries, home baking, fresh meat and pies, cooked sausages, apple juice, cheese, crusty bread and baguettes, croissants, a variety of flavoured bread (including tomato, beer, garlic and herb and stilton) chicken, ducks, eggs and wines.

Organiser Paul Skett said: "Coventry Farmers' Market has moved to a brand new, high profile location- Broadgate. This will target a different type of clientele, both professional and students, whilst still serving the needs of its regular customer base."
