Don’t lose your vote at the Police and Crime Commissioner Election in November 2012
Monday 2 July 2012
Voter registration forms will soon be dropping through letterboxes across Coventry and you are being urged to return yours as soon as possible to make your voice heard in the Police and Crime Commissioner Election being held on 15 November.
Your local Electoral Registration Officer, Martin Reeves and his staff are sending forms to households in Coventry to compile the electoral register in time for the election. If you haven't received your form by 5 July you can contact your Electoral Registration Officer on 024 7683 3034.
Martin Reeves said: "Making a quick response will save your Council money and is very simple. All you have to do is check the details on the form for your address. If the details haven't changed you can reply by text, free phone or the internet. If the details have changed you need to reply by using the pre-paid envelope. To add someone simply add their details and sign the form; to remove someone simply cross out their details and sign the form.
"Remember you can opt to have your details excluded from the edited register which means your details cannot be bought by individuals and commercial organisations.
"Some people may not realise that there is another election this year. It is important that you complete and return the registration form so you're able to take part"
