Summer Holiday stuff to do

Tuesday 17 July 2012

With summer holidays fast approaching, there is a wealth of activities to keep the whole family entertained, with the Go! Children's Summer Activities.

Kicking off on Saturday 21 July with Dinosaurs, and Monsters of the Deep in Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, and Poems at War Memorial Park and Water Voles in Lake View Park! So whether it is sunny or rainy, there is something to keep your children occupied all holiday.

On Tuesday 24 July, come to Coombe Country Park for Reading in the Park from 10.30am - 3pm.

This free event will see JD, Roisin and the Street Stars from Free Radio reading stories all about some of the creatures that live at Coombe. There will be face painting, games and Ranger led walks to discover even more about this beautiful park. You can also taste some of the fruit that the Hungry Caterpillar loved so much, and then make a picture, you can also meet HumFree the Hamster.

If you enjoy the stories, you can even join the Coventry libraries, get your very own ticket and take books home to enjoy. The first 60 children who join the library on the day will get a voucher for a FREE Donkey ride. No booking needed, just turn up, bring your picnic and spend the day at Coombe Country Park.
