Community Short Breaks for Children and Young People with Disabilities

Community Short Breaks

Community Short Breaks provide opportunities for disabled children and young people to relax, develop new friendships, take part in new experiences and have fun doing positive activities.

Activities last for a couple of hours during term time and holiday periods. Our aim is to ensure that families with disabled children have the support they need to engage in community based activities.

We provide activities for all children/young people with disabilities. If your child or young person requires additional support during sessions or to access community based short breaks, support can be offered and identified through short breaks panel. Short Break Panel requests should be made by a lead professional through a CAF or Social Worker.
