Universal Skills

This e-resource is available from a library computer and from home.

This e-resource is an online step-by-step guide covering areas such as basic computer skills, job skills, Universal Jobmatch and Universal Credit.

The three help topics available are:

  • "Find a Job service" Awareness - topics that give you all the skills to get you started searching for a job on the Government website.
  • Employability Awareness - topics to help you find and keep jobs.
  • Universal Credit Awareness - topics to help you find the right credit payments for you and what is needed to keep the level of credit.

From a library computer or from home:

Go to Universal Skills

What you will need to login:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Library card number
  • Select a help topic to view from the drop down list when prompted

Frequently asked questions

I am trying to login but have forgotten my library card number?

You will need to visit your local library with identification and proof of address (i.e. driving licence, utility bill) so we can look you up and provide you with your library card number.
