Rebekah Tyler, The Coach in the Cupboard, is a dynamic coach, speaker, and Sensory Support Specialist with over 20 years of experience working with individuals and teams across sectors including social care, health, and education. As a self-declared productivity geek, with expertise in human behaviour and a particular passion for Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies framework, Rebekah empowers others to better understand themselves and those they serve. Session: Crisis Intervention Revisited

Crisis intervention is a longstanding social work method that can make a vey positive difference and serve as an effective basis for empowerment. However, it is commonly misunderstood and its potential often not realised. In this session, Neil Thompson clears away the myths and misunderstandings and clarifies how useful crisis theory can be in a variety of settings.

Dr Neil Thompson is an award-winning author and educator and a visiting professor at the Open University. His online academy offers a range of online courses and Chartered Management Institute qualifications in leadership in social care and people management.
