An opportunity for practitioners to unpick and develop their understanding of the buzz phrases within the Early Inspection Framework (EIF) and the reformed Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Phrases like cultural capital, executive function, and self-regulation etc. This is to ensure a clear and shared understanding of how these impact on the service on offer to children.
Aims and objectives
The aim of this session is for practitioners to develop their understanding of the 2019 Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and the reformed 2021 Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). By the end of this session learners will have had the opportunity to
- Explore new phrases and concepts within the EIF and EYFS, for example self-regulation and cultural capital
- Discuss the impact of these on their current practice
- Consider their role as a considerate adult within the provision on offer to children
- Reflect on knowledge within the setting and consider any development that may be required across the staff team
- Develop a brief action plan to strive for improvement
