The Old Grammar School is a 12th century hospital and chapel which following the dissolution of the monasteries in the 16th century became Coventry's first free school.
It has recently been restored and brought back into public use as part of the Coventry Transport Museum redevelopment in 2014-2015.
Opportunity to view this rarely opened building and see the works of the Family History Society who will also be celebrating their 25 years this year. There will be information on Coventry Ancestors and much needed help and assistance to people wishing to trace and find their Family Tree. Also exhibiting will be the Coventry Society who will be promoting the project for the restoration of the Burges, promoting the Lady Herbert's Garden and the Burges Conservation area and the opening of the River Sherbourne.
