Coombe Abbey Country Park offers 500 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland, lakeside walks and bird watching all set against the stunning Coombe Abbey.

The site is steeped in history dating back to 1150 when the Abbey was founded by Cistercian monks. The Abbey is now a hotel. The Craven family lived at Coombe in the 18th century creating the lake and sight lines of the deer park. The site was opened to the public in 1966.

  • Accompanied tours around the Capability Brown trail for the Abbey and the Park including the lake will be available. Please see website for more details 
  • Coombe Abbey Woodturners Club are pleased to be bringing back the hugely successful Festival of Crafts event running on the 14th and 15th September 2019 only. Running between 10.00 and 17.00 on Saturday, and 10.00 and 16.00 on Sunday. The Festival of Crafts will promote traditional crafts which all the family and friends can enjoy.

BY CAR Leave the Coventry Ring Road at junction 3 and take the second exit on the roundabout onto Sky Blue Way. Proceed forward over the traffic lights at the next roundabout and take the second exit onto Binley Road (A428) for 2 miles. Then take a left onto Brinklow Road (B2407) and then veer to the right at the next lights. Coombe Country Park entrance is on the left hand side about a mile up the road. BY BUS No 585 Coventry- Rugby bus provided by Travel De Courcey stops outside the main gate.
