Advice for EU citizens living in the UK

If you're an EU citizen, you and your family will be able to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue living in the UK after June 2021. If your application is successful, you and your family will be granted settled or pre-settled status.

EU Settlement Scheme – what you need to know

You may be concerned about what happens post Brexit and circumstances around your UK residence.

The EU Settlement Scheme allows you and your family members to get the immigration status you will need to continue to live, work and study in the UK if you are from the European Economic Area (EEA) or from Switzerland.

As a member you are then eligible for public services including schools, public funds and British Citizenship if people meet the requirements and wish to apply.

Even if you and your family has a UK permanent residence document you will still need to apply to the settlement scheme.

Community groups

The community leaders toolkit equips community groups with the right tools and information to support EU citizens and their families to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme.

Advice for businesses
