COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Don’t be complacent, help stop the spread of COVID-19

We want everyone in Coventry to stay safe and help in keeping the number of infections as low as possible. To do this everyone needs to play their part by keeping informed of the latest government guidance and implementing this in our everyday activities. With the continued easement of lockdown restrictions and people moving about and doing more, the risk of catching coronavirus increases which is why it is as important as ever to follow the national advice and guidance to avoid another lockdown, or local lockdown:

Help control the virus

To protect yourself and others, when you leave home you must:

  • Wash your hands – Keep washing your hands regularly.
  • Cover your face – Wear a face covering over your nose and mouth in enclosed spaces.
  • Make space – Stay at least a metre away from people not in your household.
  • If you are feeling unwell, get a test and do not leave home for at least 10 days.

If you start to show any symptoms, no matter how mild, then you should self-isolate and seek a test. If you have come into contact with someone who has tested positive, then you must self-isolate for 14 days and seek a test if and only when you start to display symptoms.

To book a test, visit www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or dial 119. All tests are free and anyone asking you to pay for one means it will be a scam.

Don’t become complacent. By not following guidance you could be spreading COVID-19 without knowing it.

Help us to keep Coventry safe.
