Adult Social Care provider offer

Financial support

Prior to the announcements by Government of the second round of infection control funding, the Council had adopted a scheme of direct financial support that enabled Coventry providers to claim the additional costs relating to COVID-19 such as additional staffing costs and PPE where not covered by other Government schemes and grants. Support for nursing homes was being provided by the Clinical Commissioning Group.
With the Round 2 announcement covering additional staffing costs and other infection control costs from 1 October 2020 to 31 March 2021, the Council’s scheme of direct support has been closed for claims for expenditure after 30 September 2020. Claims for additional expenditure up until 30 September can still be claimed in the usual way with all claims requiring to be received by close of Friday 11 December 2020.

The City Council has worked in collaboration with partners to ensure effective supplies of PPE are available where providers are unable to source this themselves or from central supplies. No charges have been made for the PPE provided by the Council in these circumstances. Eligible health and social care providers can order PPE through the government portal to meet the increased need that has arisen as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. See more details of the government portal.
