Essential maintenance work - Saturday 15 June

We will be working on our online systems on Saturday 15 June so you may experience some disruption. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Coventry Waterpark and Leisure Centre

The Wave

Construction is underway on a new waterpark and leisure centre in the heart of Coventry City Centre.

In September 2018 the name of the new waterpark and leisure centre was unveiled. The £36.7 million water park currently being built  on the former Spire House site in the city centre will be called The Wave. The name has been selected because its short, memorable, descriptive and it has been taken from the design of the building. The logo features a spiral letter ‘W’ that brings a flavour of a twisting flume ending in a splash of water making it an innovative and modern design.

Alongside the waterpark is a new health and fitness centre. Lifestyles at The Wave will be opening its doors from 24 June - ahead of the waterpark opening and will offer a state of the art fitness suite, 25m pool and an incredible range of group exercises classes. The Council is also working on a new 50m pool at the Alan Higgs Centre.

Details of the Waterpark opening date will be released soon. You can find out more and see the slides at the Wave website.
