Deputy Lord Mayor of Coventry

Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Mal Mutton

Cllr Mutton has represented the residents of Radford Ward since she was first elected to the Council in 2008. She has held a number of positions at the Council, the most recent being Cabinet Member for Adult Services.

Cllr Mutton previously held the role of Lady Mayoress in 1997/98 when her late husband, John was Lord Mayor. She has two sons, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She said “I am very proud to be named as the new Deputy Lord Mayor.  It has always been a privilege to represent the people of Coventry as a councillor and I look forward to being able to continue that as Deputy Lord Mayor. Coventry is a wonderful city and it will be an honour to represent the city and its residents in this role.”

Cllr Mutton will be supported in her role by her sister Margaret who will be Deputy Lord Mayor’s Consort.
