Getting involved in Adult Social Care

Get involved in improving our care and support services

A key part of the Adult Social Care vision in Coventry is to put adults and carers are at the heart of everything we do. We know that people who use our services often have the best ideas about how to make changes or improvements.

Your views and suggestions are really important to us as everyone has different experiences and knowledge. This might be your experience of the assessment process, your experience of receiving support to help you with your care needs or it may be your experience as a family member or carer.

How can I get involved?

There are lots of ways to get involved. This list contains just a few of them.

  • Adult Social Care Stakeholder Reference Group - This group is made up of people with care and support needs, carers, local organisations and council staff. The role of the group is to help plan and influence the future of adult social care. The group meet every two months, normally on a Wednesday for two hours at a time. You do not need to attend every meeting to be a member of the group.
  • Take part in surveys and questionnaires as a way to share your views
  • Take part in focus groups to discuss current services or plans for new ones

We know your time is precious so you may not be able to commit to everything. By joining our mailing list we will contact people, normally via email about opportunities to get involved including receiving information about topics being discussed at our Adult Social Care Stakeholder Reference Group.

If you think you might be interested in helping us, we want to hear from you. Please read our how to get involved leaflet for more information or contact us using the details below.
