Heritage Open Days 2021 in Coventry

This year’s National Heritage Open Days will take place between Friday 11 September and Sunday 19 September 2021.

Now in its 27th year Coventry is one of the cities that has participated since the beginning.

Last year with the pandemic restrictions, some venues still managed to open for in-person events as well as introducing some digital/virtual events.

This year’s theme is Edible England, from woodland foraging to factory floor, forgotten recipes to regional delicacies, the festival community are being asked to explore the past, present, and future of our culinary heritage and culture.

Of course you do not have to follow a theme if you don’t wish to or you might want to adopt your own if you have an anniversary/activity you want to celebrate.

Do you have a story to tell?

Who lived or worked there? What was your building previously used for?

We welcome registration from all types of venues and all ages. To qualify, at least one of these criteria must be met

  1. The venue is not normally open to the public
  2. An event is being put on especially for Heritage Open Days
  3. There is usually an entry charge which is waived for Heritage Open Days

If your venue is interested in taking part this year, please fill in the registration form.
