Coventry City Council along with the local authorities in Solihull, Warwickshire and Worcestershire are part of a regional adoption agency called Adoption Central England (ACE).
The regional agencies across the UK have been set up to address delays in children being placed with adoptive families, once it has been decided adoption is the right option. ACE means that the four councils can work closer together both in the recruitment of adoptive families as well as providing better support for the families.
ACE is hosted by Warwickshire County Council but there is also an office in Coventry.
More information about adopting through ACE can be found on the ACE website or by contacting the ACE Hub on 0300 369 0556 where an adoption social worker will be pleased to answer your queries and provide you with more information about what adoption involves.
The staff in the fostering team are unable to help with any adoption information.
