Public Space Protection Orders

Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) are instruments that allow us to regulate behaviours in specified locations to the benefit of the wider community.  We have several orders currently live in the city and they address behaviours such as ;

  • Public Drinking
  • Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Controlling dogs in public
  • Off road motorbikes
  • Street Trading
  • Distribution of advertising materials

We can create a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and if it is implemented, it would mean that offenders would be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice.

For more information visit our Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO) pages.
