Adult education

Supporting you during COVID-19

We recognise that a lot of people are worried about how COVID019 is affecting their lives now and what the longer term impact will be for them and their families. Maintaining our health and well-being is more important than ever and our friendly and experienced team are here to support you.

The Adult Education Service have courses to help you:

  • Feel less isolated, help you maintain your health and wellbeing, build confidence and connect with other people
  • Help you develop the skills to get the most out of using the internet, setting up email accounts and using basic software such as Microsoft Teams to have virtual discussions or job search
  • Bring out your creative side through our various arts and crafts courses
  • Develop your vocational skills and gain qualifications to help you get a job, develop in your current role or move into a totally different area of work.

Autumn offer 50% off on all courses up to and including Level 2

During the Summer Term Managers and tutors worked hard to put all courses online. From learner feedback we know that some learners prefer to learn in a classroom environment so throughout the Summer we have been working with our Venue Management Groups to prepare a limited number of venues to open in line with Government guidelines for the Autumn Term. If we are able to complete the work required, then we will be offering courses online and in venues however we may have to start the term with all courses online. This will be confirmed to you when you enrol.

Please take a look to see the full range of courses that will be on offer, we are adding more every day. Community Learning course enrolments will begin on 17 August 2020.
