Coventry City Council’s Adult Education Service is funded through grants from the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), along with other funding sources such as the European Social Fund (ESF). Funding is used to subsidise courses and each funding source has its own eligibility criteria such as age, postcode, household income or employment status. Relevant information is collected from learners at enrolment to ensure we are meeting our grant funding requirements and using our funding correctly.
ESFA 16-19 Tuition Fund
The Adult Education Service is receiving additional funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to support separate vocational Health and Social Care provision for some of our Study Programme learners. These learners will study in small groups and will be supported by Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) as needed. The additional funds are being used for tutor hours and LSA hours.
