Warm and Healthy Homes for Disabled Householders scheme

Coventry City Council has obtained funding to provide a range of insulation and/or heating measures to households in Coventry. We are working in partnership with Act On Energy, a local energy conservation charity, who have been providing free impartial advice to householders and small businesses for over 20 years.

The benefits of insulation and new heating measures are that it can reduce energy bills, improve your comfort and minimise risk of cold related ill health. The funding can cover the following measures:

  • External wall insulation
  • Cavity wall insulation
  • Loft Insulation
  • Gas boiler and electric storage heater provision or replacement
  • First time gas central heating

The scheme is only available to owner occupiers and private renters who receive, or who have previously received, a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) and meet the health, income and savings criteria. If you are interested in applying, or want to know more about eligibility or the insulation and heating measures offered under the Warm and Healthy Homes for Disabled Householders scheme, please contact Act On Energy on their free advice line on 0800 988 2881.

Details of the scheme and the eligibility criteria are set out in a Housing Assistance Policy agreed on 17 September 2019.
