The Government will not reimburse Coventry City Council for all of the income it expects to lose as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Next week the Council will report on a projected £6.7m overspend by the end of the financial year based on its expenditure and income between April and June 2020. This is only after it has committed over £20m of Government grant to pay for some of the expected costs of the Covid-19 pandemic.
