The Belgrade Theatre's longstanding year 6 transitions programme, will be touring primary schools again this summer.
Big School is an original theatre-in-education programme for children in Year 6 that combines professional theatre with participatory activities. It is designed to enable pupils to explore their feelings about the move to secondary school and to equip them with useful strategies for dealing with issues of transition.
The programme is delivered in your school hall by experienced actor-teachers, and supported by a teacher’s pack that enables both preparatory work and extensive follow-up.
This year’s tour will run for three weeks between Mon 3 – Fri 21 June, 2019. However, places have been booked very quickly and there are now only a handful of dates left.
With funding support we are able to subsidise the programme once again this year. Schools are asked to contribute £275 per performance, or £340 where two schools join together to share a performance (up to a maximum of 90 pupils).
If you are interested in booking your school onto this tour, or you would like more information, please contact Danielle Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 024 7684 6708.
