Belgrade and RSC theatres offering free CPDL opportunity to Coventry schools

Published Tuesday, 14 May 2019

The Belgrade Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company are looking for five Coventry schools to take part in a free CPDL programme.

The focus of this will be on building learner confidence and raising aspirations through the teaching of English and literacy using creative pedagogies.

This unique Continued Professional Development and Learning programme will provide teachers from each of the selected schools with opportunities to develop new approaches to teaching Shakespeare’s plays, and use theatre more broadly as a tool for learning and development.

The programme is open to any state maintained primary, secondary or special school, and will run across five dates between autumn 2019 and summer 2020.

Interested schools are required to complete a short, one and a half page application form telling us about your setting. For more information, or to apply, please contact Claire Procter at the Belgrade Theatre on

The deadline for applications is Friday 7 June.
