Get ready for MotoFest this weekend

Published Thursday, 30 May 2019

Two days of non-stop cultural celebration and motoring madness are coming to the UK's Motor City in a weekend of free family fun.

MotoFest comes to Coventry on Saturday and Sunday (1/2 June) and promises four-wheel thrills, music, great food and lots more.

There are three unique venues where you can get up close and feel the excitement of live motorsport action.

The GT Radial Sprint Circuit will be hosting rounds 9 and 10 of the BARC Connaught National Speed Championship, plus, classic vehicle demos and iconic vehicle debuts.

The Skydome Fueltopia Arena will be the home of a Formula Gymkhana Champion of Champions, along with drift demos from Michelle Westby, stunt bikes and more.

And in the Autotest Arena, you can see the Autotest National Championship Qualifiers as well as an Autosolo passenger experience and IUDRO UK drone racing nationals.

But there’s a lot more to MotoFest than just cars.

Stop by one of the three music stages to soothe your ears - choose from a community stage, a folk stage, or one offering rock, dance and funk.

You can stroll through a photography exhibition, see an artist paint with cars, attend an orchestral concert, visit a local museum or go shopping in the city centre.

There's also family fun at the official opening celebration of the new Radford Road fire station on Sunday, and the Jaguar Land Rover Zone will be full of amazing content for all ages; youngsters aged 3 -10 can even take a mini Land Rover for a spin!

And when you get peckish, you can visit the Global Street Food Village for Texas-style smoked meats, ethically farmed British burgers, Italian meatballs, Mexican burritos and more.

Or explore the city centre and try out one of the great restaurants there.
